Having regard to the provisions of section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 as amended by the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1988, the following information is given in addition to other information readily available to you. It is intended that the obligations to whoever may be concerned with the handling and use of our products do so in terms of the above mentioned Act.
Notes to the effect are primarily intended in the handling and use of our two-part polyurethane resin compound. This polyurethane compound has been designed to ensure excellent electrical insulation and thermodynamic properties. The product has been Health and Safety tested and performed successfully within the required guidelines. The underground cable jointing kits manufactured by this company should be installed by cable jointers who have had a period of formal training and have a certificate of competence for both workshop and on-site operations, and where appropriate, in accordance with any instructions given by the company. Appropriate information on the proper use of handling of our cable joints are made available with the product according to the above Act. Full information is available on request.
